WSET Level 4 Diploma Online
About the Course
The Diploma qualification is considered by many to be the “driving licence” for anyone wishing to work in the business or progress into management level roles. It is recognised worldwide as the premium all round wine and spirit qualification. For the serious wine enthusiast the Diploma course will develop a high level of product knowledge and expertise in wine tasting and will build on the knowledge gained at Advanced level, and although the course is challenging it will be equally rewarding. The courses are taught by a team of highly qualified, dedicated and experienced wine and spirit Educators. All are respected specialists in their fields, all will have up to date knowledge of contemporary issues related to wines and spirits, and many are MW’s.
Studying online offers students the flexibility to fit their studies around their commitments and lifestyle. The Level 4 programme is based around a two year structured programme of ten hours study per week. However, the course has no fixed study times, so students may plan their weekly studies to suit themselves.
All our online qualification courses are designed to be interactive making learning more accessible and engaging. The Diploma course utilises social media to discuss topics relevant to the syllabus with their peers under the guidance of a series of WSET tutor.
Students will be asked to taste and write notes on 36 light wines, seven fortified and sparkling wines and nine spirits using the systematic approach to tasting for the online activities and feedback tests. An attended tasting tutorial, which requires classroom attendance, introducing the WSET Level 4 tasting technique is included in the early weeks of the course.
“I have enjoyed the interaction with everyone else and it has helped to motivate me to pick the books up when I haven’t felt like it!.” Read more testimonials…
