About the Course
The course covers the main categories of spirits and liqueurs as well as the influences of production methods on the different styles available in each category. Included are tutored tastings of 60 spirits and liqueurs to develop analytical tasting skills to a high level of competency using a systematic approach to tasting.

What level of knowledge will I need to start this course?
No formal qualification is required to start this a course, all you need is an enthusiasm for the subject and a willingness to learn. This course is ideal for anyone wishing to be introduced to sprits in an informative and structured manner and provides a good base of product knowledge which will aid those wishing to pursue a career in bar work, mixology or sales.

Exam
This course is examined with a 1 hour paper consisting of 50 multiple choice question. The pass mark is 55% and the exam will take place in the last session of each course.
Scholarship Prize Winners
Each year students with the highest marks for the Level 2 Award in Spirits are awarded prizes including trips to distilleries both in Europe and around the world. Winners and graduates are also invited to attend the graduation at the Guildhall in London. Find out more…
